Teaching Quotes
Don’t carry your egos in your knees
When in doubt, chest moves forward
Land when you want to land, not when gravity tells you to
Head goes up last, head goes down first…
If you can practise, practise. If you can’t, don’t feel guilty
Only you can differentiate between stretching and pain. Stretching is good, pain is always bad
If you must practise on Moon Days, don’t go too deeply into asanas Concentrate instead on breathing, bandhas and drishti
First part of first limb of Ashtanga Yoga is Ahimsa – non-violence Don’t be violent with yourself when practising!
If you are unable to practise asana, practise other aspects of yoga such as Kriya cleansing rituals
Keep shoulders back and down
Engage Uddiyana Bandha (lower-abdominal lock) to make space and protect your lower back
Focus on breath – waves coming in, waves going out

The course is detailed and well thought out and has helped me deepen my yoga practice.Posted on Leela LakeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After doing yoga for a few years I decided to take the leap and do my Yoga teacher training. I found Wills Ashtanga in person course and haven’t looked back since. It’s a great course and Will is very thorough in his teachings. I have not only noticed a huge change in my own practice, it has also been a journey of self development. The course has lots of detailed elements to it and gives you a great under of the philosophy and background of traditional yoga. I feel confident in being able to go out and hold my own classes and start my journey. Thanks Will.Posted on KTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Attended the student assessments and they were very varied and interesting.Posted on Alex BurnTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Will is a kind, caring , gentle teacher with a wealth of experience and knowledge including spending time learning in Mysore India. His passion for Ashtanga Yoga is clear-and this provides a really good basis for learning skills for teaching yoga . However during the course we covered all other types of yoga which provides students the opportunity to choose their own direction . Will teaches the 200 hour teaching course in a clear logical organised way. His course has enabled me to change my career which in turn has changed /enhanced my life ! I am now able to use my passion for yoga to pass on to others. Will’s in-person course was one of very few in the South East that I could find. I would recommend strongly that yoga teaching needs to be taught in a hands on manner. Learning from practical experience has provided me with the confidence required to teach others . We learned from each other as we continued to grow in confidence during our teaching practice and became friends in the process ! I found learning about yoga philosophy refreshing so the academic side of the course was a positive experience. Will was extremely supportive of us all if there were any difficulties. The beautiful setting of the Sadie Centre provides a calm , friendly environment with delicious vegetarian /vegan food in the cafe in a tranquil green space -perfect for getting away from it all ! I'm so glad I did my teacher training with him.Posted on Randika DissanayakeTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I studied Yoga TTS 200 hours teacher training course in 2024. I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to become a yoga teacher. Will has very deep knowledge of Ashtanga yoga and so many years of experience teaching yoga in London and outer areas. The course not only includes the knowledge of yoga but also provides very good knowledge and understanding of ancient Ayurvedic teachings, Thai yoga massage techniques and historic yoga philosophy. Further, becoming yoga TTS student provides you ongoing training and support even after you complete the course and you are welcome to participate for Sunday morning monthly yoga practice free of charge. Will is always supportive and available to provide advice and guidance when you need to clarify things or support with planning your future classes.Verified by TrustindexTrustindex verified badge is the Universal Symbol of Trust. In Om Magazine, Will Lavin offers real-world advice for aspiring yoga teachers. It's not about being the "best" at asana—it's about learning to teach safely, effectively, and authentically. Expect philosophy, anatomy, and self-discovery—not just advanced poses. A rewarding journey, with lessons (and friendships) that last a lifetime.

After surviving Hodgkin’s Lymphoma and the damage of radiotherapy, Will Lavin turned to pranayama—yogic breathwork—to reclaim his lung function and ditch his steroid inhaler. With over 25 years of practice, simple techniques like alternate nostril breathing, breath retention, and Nauli have helped him heal naturally and deepen his yoga. A powerful story of self-led recovery through the breath.

Yoga is more than just physical postures—when life slows your asana practice, turn to yogic cleansing. Daily practices like tongue scraping, Nauli, and Jala Neti support health and breath. Weekly Sutra Neti offers deeper nasal cleansing and clarity. Stay connected to yoga’s deeper limbs, even off the mat.
